I personally have to be so grateful to Auntie Freda as she looked after me when I was only a few months old when mum went into hospital! Freda was always so pleased to see Peter and I when she lived at Whetstone and had some great stories to tell. I feel I got to know her better in those later years than ever before. She had such an interesting life in her younger days and during the war. As Mary has said, she and John were so kind to mum and I know mum really looked forward to visiting them both. Freda was our last auntie, and we are sad that she didn't live to 100 - but 99 is amazing. Jane xx
